Tignanello by Marchesi Antinori is one of Italy's most famous and revolutionary wines, considered the forerunner of the so-called "Super Tuscany". It is produced mainly from Sangiovese grapes, with the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. It was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barrels, the first modern red wine blended with non-traditional varieties, and among the first in Chianti Classico to not use white grapes in the blend.
